Borciani e Bonazzi | IL PERFETTO 626 Round Pointed Watercolour brushes — synthetic hair
The synthetic hair of the Borciani e Bonazzi IL PERFETTO 626 Round Pointed Watercolour brushes is a vegan-friendly alternative to classic Kolinsky sable hair. These brushes are perfect for corrections & retouches, details, hatching etc.
A mix of two types of fibres with different diameters and conicity — the transition from thick to thin along the length of the fibres — is used. This ensures a perfect point, with high resilience and shape retention. Just like classic sable hair, this brush picks up a lot of colour, with a smooth, even release so you can work longer without interruption.
This brush was initially developed for watercolour paint and gouache. But it is also excellent for egg tempera and diluted acrylic and oil paint, for example for glazing layers.

➽ The founders of the Italian family business Borciani e Bonazzi — B♦B for short — are brother Arturo and sister Wilma Bonazzi. They started their business in 1951 in a small artisan workshop in the Emilia region of Italy. The name came about when Wilma's husband, the young Borciani, joined the company.
Today, their brushes are still made one by one by hand, combining traditional techniques — learned from local craftsmen — with top-quality materials, such as innovative, high-end synthetic fibres.
