Borciani e Bonazzi UNICO OFF-WHITE 831 Flat brushes have extra strong synthetic hair that is a vegan-friendly alternative to natural hog hair, with the same characteristic properties.

It is resilient and allows you to maintain your brushstrokes and texture. It is perfect for undiluted, heavy body acrylic paint — even if you have thickened the paint with modelling pastes or gels — oily tempera and impasto oil paint, even when working with impasto. It is sturdy and durable, even on rough or absorbent surfaces such as coarse canvas and even walls. It is not affected by water, is resistant to turpentine or white spirit and retains its shape.

➽ Extra strong = sturdy, durable and dimensionally stable — even on rough or absorbent surfaces.

➽ For heavy body acrylic paint — even for 3D work with paint thickened with modelling pastes or gels.

➽ For impasto oil paint — perfect for pictorial, impressionistic textures and impasto.

TIP! This brush is also excellent for washing oil pastels with turpentine or white spirit. This allows you to blend colours, build tonal depth and add sharp accents and highlights by removing the pastel completely.

Smart detail: the handle has an anti-roll system — a horizontal recess that prevents the brush from rolling off your work table.

Product specifications of the Borciani e Bonazzi UNICO OFF-WHITE 831 Flat brushes at a glance:

  • brush shape: flat — ideal for flat work or use the side for thin lines
  • extra-strong synthetic hair
  • vegan-friendly alternative to natural hog hair
  • seamless, nickel-plated brass ferrule
  • durable birch wood handle with anti-roll system
  • handle is transparent blue-green / petrol lacquered with a non-toxic, water-based lacquer that provides an anti-slip effect

TIP! The ergonomic, B♦B-patented handle has a larger diameter at the grip. This reduces the strain on the joints of your hand, allowing you to work comfortably for hours without fatigue — ideal when working on detailed or large projects.

Borciani e Bonazzi — tradition and innovation since 1951!

The founders of the Italian family business Borciani e Bonazzi — B♦B for short — are brother Arturo and sister Wilma Bonazzi. They started their business in 1951 in a small artisan workshop in the Emilia region of Italy. The name came about when Wilma's husband, the young Borciani, joined the company.

Today, their brushes are still made one by one by hand, combining traditional techniques — learned from local craftsmen — with top-quality materials, such as innovative, high-end synthetic fibres.

Price per brush.
