These Electric Thermal Plates are designed for use when etching. Your copper and zinc plates can be heated properly in order to facilitate colouring with printing inks or to enable coating with wax.

The Electric Thermal Plates have a solid construction with special 6 mm or 4 mm thick aluminum plates which maintain the heat extremely well. They have a control display for the heating cycle, the temperature is continuously adjustable from 30 - 90° C and the power is 350 or 820 watts, 220V.

Precautions: for colouring, warm the thermal plate to 45° C for 20 minutes; for waxing, heat it to approx 80 to 85° C. Only use the device in dry rooms. For cleaning, always unplug the power first.
