ESSDEE Fine Quality British SCRAPER Boards are a high-quality artist's medium used worldwide by illustrators and professional artists. The particularly smooth, uncoated surface is ideal for precise engraving work and for airbrush techniques.

With white scratchboard, the design is created in reverse: instead of removing large black areas, you apply colour areas with high-quality, waterproof ink. Fine marten hair brushes are ideal for this, as they allow you to ‘frame’ the main areas cleanly. After natural drying, semi-transparent layers of colour can be built up and fine engraving details added.

This uncoated white scraper board variant enables particularly natural, dramatic effects and is ideal for building up illustrations layer by layer. It is the best medium for airbrush work and is predestined for detailed, illustrative effects. The set contains 5 sheets of white scraper board, a No. 2 scraper knife and the matching handle.
