Gerstaecker No. 2 DRAWING pads are bound along the top edge. The acid-free paper is ideal for all dry techniques such as graphite pencil, charcoal, sanguine and pastel.

The paper in these Gerstaecker No. 2 DRAWING pads is 125 gsm with a slightly grainy surface which makes it pleasant to use and full of character. It is manufactured without optical brighteners and is sized in the pulp.

Excellent for calligraphy! - This paper was recommended to me whilst I was attending the CLAS (Calligraphy ) Festival at Malvern this year. My tutor had a pad of the paper and I must say that she was very generous with it. On return home I also recommended it to my calligraphy group, upon which we all ordered one size or another. It is fine paper for all uses - bookmaking in particular. It does not bleed and has a little bit of "tooth".
Highly recommended by all of us.
