These Gerstaecker Traditional Relief Inks (letterpress inks) are suitable for printing, woodcut, wood engraving, linocut, and also for printing with photopolymer plates. They are free of heavy metal pigments.
Gerstaecker Traditional Relief Ink has a high content of the finest artists' pigments and is mixed with finely ground linseed oil for colour strength and intensive colour reproduction. These inks have optimal lightfastness and resistance and include a drying accelerator. They are very similar to Cranfield Caligo Traditional Relief Inks.
To increase the transparency or modify the intensity of Gerstaecker Traditional Relief Inks add Transparent Extender.To dilute them a small amount of Cranfield Caligo Safe Wash Oil can be added, and to modify the opacity of individual colours add opaque white. All colours are available in 75 ml tubes and in 500 g tins.
