These Gerstaecker Wide Profile Floater Frames are made from Ayous wood. The beautifully simple frames subtly highlight your work.

These frames are worked in such a way that between stretcher frame and inside of the profile a gap exists. The pictures give the impression of floating. The canvas remains fully visible and stands out effectively from its background. The frame sizes offered here refer to picture size plus the specified visible edge.

To easily mount your stretcher in a shadow gap frame:

1. screw the screws into the empty frame from below and leave them protruding slightly at the top.

2. press the stretcher frame from above onto these screw tips in the correct position.

3. then pre-drill the marked holes on the stretcher frame.

4. tighten the screws from below.

Floater frames - I ordered two sizes of this frame. Found the 'floating' gap a bit wider than I expected but ican live with that. One frame was damaged in transit, pierced right through the packaging. Very impressed by the efficient way my problem was resolved and a new frame sent to me.
