GIUSTO MANETTI Water-Based Mecca Paint is a professional-grade finishing varnish, primarily formulated from natural resinous substances dissolved in an alcohol solution. It is sold in 125 ml bottles.

This paint serves as a specialised, indoor coating designed to alter or protect gilded surfaces. The traditional golden-amber tinted Mecca paint is applied directly onto silver leaf or aluminium leaf to instantly simulate a warm, rich gold tone. It seals metal leaf — especially imitation leaf — protecting the surface from room-air oxidation, discolouration, physical abrasion, and ambient dust.
