My students' favourite paper - This paper is a favourite with my students, and with me. It combines three essential qualities for a good paper: texture, dimensions and colour. Providing a lovely subtle tooth, students find it easy to achieve blending effects when working with soft pastels and charcoal. The colours have just the right amount of brightness to work with and the paper is large enough for a decent study. On top of that, for me as a teacher, Hahnemuehle offers good value for money if you chose the colours carefully. There's different prices for different colours, but enough to chose from in the cheapest ones. The only problem is I have to keep on ordering more - I'ld love to have an option for a mix with some discount!
