It all starts with the right tools and a little prior knowledge: the materials, tools, supports and techniques. In her workshop you will learn all about the PanPastel® materials, what their properties and possibilities are and how you can use them to their best advantage on different grounds, such as paper, pastelmat or canvas.
In the PanPastel® Workshop Julia Woning shows you how you can use certain techniques and the right colour palette to make the most beautiful colour plates, drawings and works of art. You will also learn to develop your own style by adding patterns, shadows and layers. Julia also shows you different mixing media, the use of stencils, stamps and ink.

Julia Woning graduated from the Willem de Kooning academy in 1994 and has since worked as an illustrator, portraitist, visual artist, drawing-painter teacher and author. Julia is best known for her Thick Ladies paintings, which can be admired in various galleries in the Netherlands. BBNC previously published her Colour Techniques Workshop and several colouring books by her hand - her Lovely Ladies and Thick Lady colouring books, for example.
