Kirschen Chip Carving Knives are premium woodworking tools specifically engineered for delicate chip carving, detailed carpentry, and intarsia work.
The blades are hand-forged from specialised high-carbon tool steel and hardened to a high rating of 61 Rockwell. This exceptional hardness provides excellent edge retention, though it requires proper care (see below) to stay rust-free.

TIP! Because they are made from pure high-carbon steel, the blades are susceptible to natural corrosion. They should be wiped down with a lightly oiled cloth (such as Ballistol Universal Oil) after each session or prior to long-term storage.
