Kölner Instacoll Activator is used to reactivate dry Instacoll Base layers and make them receptive for leaf again. Kölner Instacoll Activator is sold in 100ml bottles.

Simply wait for the Instacoll Base to dry completely, then apply a very thin coat of Kölner Instacoll Activator and allow 5 - 10 minutes for it to dry. One the Instacoll Activator is dry then the surface will once again be ready for metal leaf to be laid, for up to 30 minutes. This Kölner Instacoll Activator can be used even years later.
