The Kölner Instacoll Gilding Starter Set contains everything you need to complete a small gilding project using the Instacoll system. It is ideal for application on sheet metal and plastics.

For best results,the surface to be gilded should be clean, dry and as smooth as possible. This Kölner Instacoll Gilding Starter Set is easy to use and is therefore ideal for beginners. The finished surface is weather resistant and has a highly burnished, mirror-like gloss.

The Instacoll system has been specifically developed for applying metal leaf, preferably gold leaf, outdoors. It minimises the risks through a clever 2-stage system: first, the clean surface is painted as evenly as possible with Instacoll BASE clear or yellow, and once dry you apply the activator and begin to apply the metal leaf.
