Koh-I-Noor GIOCONDA 8100 Hard Pastels are highly pigmented, and — this is what makes them unique — treated with special oils. This gives them a perfect balance between firmness and smooth colour release, without you having to apply much pressure.
TIP! Thanks to this special formulation, you can also easily wash these pastels with turpentine or white spirit — allowing you to blend your colours even better and create subtle colour transitions.
The traditional square shape of these pastels — carré — also gives you a good grip. Use the sharp edge to define contours and draw crisp lines — perfect for linear work. Use the flat edge to fill in larger areas. And use the corners to add details. The sets are presented in cardboard boxes, in separate inlays — this makes them easy to organise and protects the pastels from breakage!
TIP! You can easily sharpen these pastels with a knife, loose sandpaper or a sanding block.
