The Läufer Doppel-Läufer Universal-0420 Eraser is a classic 2-toned eraser made from natural rubber. It has 2 ends: red for pencil, coloured pencil etc, blue for ink, Indian ink, toner.
This Läufer Doppel-Läufer Universal-0420 Eraser is medium-soft, making it gentle on paper while remaining highly effective. It is large format, measuring 75 mm x 24 mm x 10 mm.
The two ends serve completely different purposes because of how they are manufactured:
- the red end is softer - it removes pencil graphite from the paper by lifting the particles without damaging the surface. It is ideal for sketching, schoolwork, and colouring pencils.
- the blue end contains microscopic abrasive particles (like fine pumice or sand). It doesn't just lift the ink, it gently scrapes away the very top layer of the paper fibres where the ink has soaked in. It is perfect for fountain pen ink, ballpoint pen ink, and typewriter print.
