The Kazan squirrel hair used in these Léonard Squirrel Hair Swordliner brushes series 5079PS is considered to be the best hair for a swordliner. It absorbs a lot of (oil) paint and releases that paint evenly.
The hairs are brass wire bound, a proven traditional method. The wooden handle is extra short, giving you maximum control when drawing lines (pinstriping), writing letters and setting up finely chiselled ornamentation & decorations — the traditional uses of a swordliner. It is also suitable for brushlettering & calligraphy.
