Liquitex® PROFESSIONAL HEAVY BODY™ ACRYLICS are made using only the best and most fade-resistant pigments, making this an artists' acrylic of the highest quality.

These paints have a buttery consistency and smoothness that resembles oil paint. Liquitex® PROFESSIONAL HEAVY BODY™ ACRYLICS are very suitable for smooth brush work, layering and spatula work. They are water-based paints so can be diluted and mixed, and your equipment can be cleaned with water. The colours barely darken at all on drying due to the lightness of the acrylic. These paints are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Liquitex heavy body paints are my go-to paints, I love them. Highly pigmented and so versatile, being heavy-bodied paints I can add a lot of texture to my work, without having to add extra acrylic building media. The paint if used thickly has quite a graphic look to it. But it's also so easy with this paint to get a subtle almost watercolour effect by using the paint sparingly. I will often mix the Liquitex basics with this paint to paint the finer details. I highly recommend the heavy body paints, I've tried a lot of different ones over the years and always come back to Liquitex. One of the things I use to think as they are quite expensive, the initial outlay is, but they last such a long time as they very highly pigmented so one tends to use less. Well I do anyways .
