Lokta Natural Paper is a handmade paper dyed with extracts from fruit, leaves, roots, bark etc from Himalayan trees and shrubs. These plant colours give the Lokta Natural Paper an unmistakable character, which is emphasized by the satin finish of the paper surface.
This leathery, strong Lokta Natural Paper is very versatile and can be used for crayon, oil, soft pastels, ink and gouache, as well as for fine handprints, calligraphy or for use as a mounting card, book covers etc. Sheets measure 48 x 66cm and are approx. 105gsm. Due to variations in nature (season, weather, growth, harvest conditions) deviations in colour and texture are normal and make each sheet a unique piece.
