Lukas 1862 Finest Artists' Oil Colours are finest artists' quality paints based on recipes from the old masters. They are made from the best classical/modern artists' pigments in the highest concentrations.
Lukas 1862 Finest Artists' Oil Colours is the new Artists' Oil Colour range from Lukas. Modified from the former Sorte 1 range, these paints have improved lightfastness and brilliance, and are easier to mix. These paints are produced without resin, the addition of beeswax giving them a buttery consistency and making the paint film less brittle. Many shades contain only a single pigment. The colours offer excellent lightfastness (most of the shades have a lightfastness of 7 - 8 on the Blue Wool scale) and display excellent drying characteristics (colours dry in 2 - 4 days per brushstroke).
