The MABEF Bat M42 Palette is a high-quality, ergonomic artist palette featuring a distinct curved "bat" or kidney shape designed to wrap comfortably around an artist's forearm and torso during regular studio use.
While traditional versions were crafted from oiled beech plywood or okoumé wood, modern production has transitioned to wood fibre / MDF to comply with newer EU eco guidelines. This palette is explicitly optimised for painting with oil and acrylic paints.

TIP! Because the newer models are constructed from high-quality compressed wood fibre, artists should avoid soaking the palette in water. Submerging it can cause the surface's protective layer to lift up or delaminate. Clean the surface gently using a damp cloth or appropriate oil thinners instead.
