nielsen® Atlantis Floater Frame kits contain 2 light, untreated Abachi wood strips with pre-milled profile openings, plastic profiles and fixing screws. Please note: backing board and glass are not included.

The wooden strips in these nielsen® Atlantis Floater Frame Kits have a profile of 38 mm x 35 mm and are available in various lengths. The kit dimensions are the side lengths to be framed, so if you wish to frame a 30 cm x 90 cm picture you will need 1 x kit 25441 (30 cm) and 1 x 25447 (90 cm)

nielsen® Atlantis Floater Frame Kits assembly Instructions:

  • 1. Place the frame parts on a firm, clean and even surface for mounting. Please note that Abachi wood is pressure sensitive.
  • 2. Apply glue to the mitre edges and join the frame strips together.
  • 3. Carefully press the plastic profiles into the profile openings, which have now been formed on the back, and smooth them evenly with a rubber hammer. Do not invert or lift the frame until all profiles are hammered into place. Please hold the mitres firmly together at the last profile, otherwise the milling can break.
  • 4. Now fasten your stretcher with the screws provided from the back of the floater frame.

Good quality framing system - I bought a few of these frames recently for a project, for the first time. I am very pleased with the quality: cleverly packaged, easy to assemble, easy to fix the artwork in, perfect joints, and it allows one to use any finish one wants. Simple but decently looking frame.
