NITRAM™ Charcoal Batons are extra soft and produce rich black tones. The batons are 15 cm long and are available as a block or in circular batons in packs. They are very easy to sharpen.
Unlike standard willow or vine charcoal, which consists of uneven, baked natural branches, NITRAM™ utilises a unique manufacturing process that machines selected wood before baking. This preserves the wood's natural cell structure, creating exceptionally straight, uniform, and knot-free batons. The result is a highly durable drawing tool that does not crumble or skip under pressure, produces significantly less dust, and blends beautifully without leaving scratchy hard spots
TIP! The block and larger batons are perfect for creating life size work, sketching murals and other large scale drawings.
