These Original Belgian Chunks are grinding stones of volcanic origin for fine grinding work. They have been quarried as a natural stone in the Belgian Ardennes since 1625.
Original Belgian Chunks are ideal for sharpening knives, chisels and tools with slightly curved and straight edges.

- yellow Belgian chunk bonded to a slate base
- hard bond
- outstanding properties in the fine grinding area
- particularly fine grinding grooves
- little wear in use
- low burr formation
- 35 - 40% garnets (tiny naturally embedded garnets serve as a hard abrasive grain)_
