The PROXXON THERMOCUT 230/E Hot Wire Cutter is used to cut styrofoam and thermoplastic materials, both freehand and with stencils. It is ideal for architectural models, designers, decorators, artists, model building etc
The large 390 x 280mm table has a surface of aluminium cobond compound, which ensures smooth and easy movement of the workpiece. The printed grid and angle division facilitate practical work. The solid aluminium overarm has a 350mm throat and offers 140mm height clearance. The holder and wire coil (30m, 0.2mm diameter is included) may be shifted along the overarm to enable mitre cutting. An LED indicates operation and prevents burnt fingers (the cutting wire heats to maximum in less than 1 second).
The built-in isolating transformer and class 2 protective insulation make the hot wire cutter absolutely safe. The cutting wire works with 10V at 1.0 A..
