The special shade Random Grey 2026 (No. 988) is a limited edition within the Schmincke HORADAM® Watercolour range. It offers a complex shade of grey with a vibrant pigment structure. It is supplied in a 15 ml tube.
This grey shade is reformulated annually using selected pigments from the current production run, giving it a unique, non-reproducible hue. Each annual edition differs slightly in depth and colour character. It is particularly suitable for atmospheric backgrounds, shading, architectural motifs and minimalist colour compositions.
Schmincke HORADAM® Watercolour is characterised by finely ground artist’s pigments, high colour intensity and controllable transparency. High-quality gum arabic is used as the binder, enabling excellent re-solubility and uniform glazing. The paint is suitable for classical watercolour techniques, glazing, wet-on-wet work and nuanced grey gradations.
