Schmincke Pastel Primer 503 is a very receptive and versatile primer for pastel work. It dries to a slightly rough surface. Once dry it is ideal not only for pastels but also for watercolour, acrylic and gouache.

This Schmincke Pastel Primer 503 can be used on all fat-free materials such as wood, metal, canvas, heavier weight papers etc., and can be coloured with acrylic paints. Schmincke Pastel Primer 503 is light resistant, and is available in 500 ml bottles.
