This Schmincke Transparent Size / Pre-Primer 510 is ideal for highly absorbent painting grounds such as raw linen. It protects the raw linen and gives more elasticity and better adhesion for the subsequent primer. It is sold in 500 ml bottles.

Other materials like wood and card can also be pretreated with Schmincke Transparent Size / Pre-Primer 510 (preliminary tests necessary). This Size / Pre-Primer 510 contains pure acrylic dispersion, and dries colourless and transparent, is lightfast and resistant to aging, and forms an elastic film.

Schmincke Transparent Size / Pre-Primer 510 is ready for use and should be applied thinly twice. Do not use below 8° C object temperature. Depending on the support, it can also be thinned with water (max.10%). You can then prime it or paint over it directly with acrylic paint.
