Clairefontaine Fontaine NOT Watercolour Blocks offer 25 sheets of excellent quality 300gsm paper. The composition and stability of this paper mean it is ideal for wash techniques but can equally well be used for gouache, ink and acrylic.
Clairefontaine Fontaine NOT Watercolour paper is 100% cotton, 300gsm, pH neutral and free from optical brighteners. It is manufactured on a cylinder machine but the purity of the water and cotton used to make the pulp, combined with the quality and consistency of the glue coating (both in the pulp and on the surface) make this paper unique in its handmade-like finish. Using Clairefontaine Fontaine paper is a joy because it has a great capacity for absorption and resistance to wrinkling, whilst offering excellent colour reproduction and preserving the transparency of the colours The quality of the finish means retouching is also possible.
