This ABIG Printing Press 500 mm is made of cast aluminium with steel rollers. The robust construction ensures good results for lino, woodcut and etching.

The ABIG Printing Press 500 mm weighs 34 kg. and its base measures 56 cm x 46.5 cm. The printing table measures 50 cm x 70 cm. The rollers are 80 mm and their pressure is regulated by comfortable handles on the pressure spindles.

The printing table moves on both sides over slide guides made of technically high-quality, specially friction-minimising plastic webs.

This ABIG Printing Press 500 mm is driven by the star shaped side wheel. The electro-galvanised steel plate is 2.5 mm thick, and the the printing passage clearance is 18 mm. The press comes with a soft white printing felt, approx 5 mm thick, measuring 49 cm x 90 cm. The price includes packaging and freight.

Value for money - The ABIG Press 500mm with roller propulsion represents value for money. It can be used for relief and intaglio printmaking and is suitable for smaller studios and smaller print editions. The press can be lifted by one person if spoke wheel and press table are removed. For more heavy duty work I would prefer a cranked wheel mechanism. Also it would be nice to have the choice of a longer press table and a hard felt blanket (the German manufacturer ABIG offers these choices).

Great Press! - Fast delivery, which was great but even better is this Press. The pressure is able to cope with etching and it is also great for Lino. Only had it for a day but I am delighted with its ability.
