These CHARBONNEL AQUA WASH Etching Inks were specially developed for students and working in groups. They are ideal for all etching techniques such as drypoint, etching and aquatint.

The basis of the colours is an oil emulsion, which enables you to work in a similar way to traditional copper printing inks. The inks are also suitable for woodcut, linocut and monotype.

CHARBONNEL AQUA WASH Etching Inks contain the same high-quality pigments as classic copper printing inks. All colours are lightfast, waterproof and permanent after drying. They are low odour, non-toxic and easy to wipe. The colours dry slowly. Printing plates and tools can be cleaned with simple soapy water - a major advantage over conventional copper printing inks, which can only be removed with solvent-based cleaners.
