With one of these ABIG Sanding Blocks you can roughen up copper objects that you wish to enamel, which ensures better adhesion of the enamel. You can also use it to remove any burrs — sharp, uneven edges.

After firing, you can use the fine-grit block to smooth out minor imperfections in the enamel without causing deep scratches. The blocks measure 50 mm x 40 mm x 20 mm.

ABIG Sanding Blocks are available in two grit sizes:

  • fine grit
  • medium grit

TIP! If there is even the slightest trace of grease — such as a fingerprint — on the object you wish to enamel, this can lead to adhesion problems and even rejection of the enamel during firing in the kiln. You can use a sanding block to remove grease mechanically. Always wear gloves to prevent the object from accidentally coming into contact with your skin.

Price per block.
