Akwarelist's Watercolours are made from French pigments that are as natural and local as possible. As a result, the colours are beautifully luminous. The binder is made from gum arabic and French honey to create a smooth texture.
The pigments are first ground by hand in a dry mortar. They are then ground with the binder on a tempered glass plate. This creates a completely homogenous paste, while respecting the colour. The watercolour is then poured into half-pans in 2 stages, with a drying time of 1 to 2 weeks between each layer. In the interests of the environment, the half-pans used are made from corn starch and are therefore compostable.
