Borciani e Bonazzi TOP GRAPHIC 601 Flat brushes have vegan-friendly synthetic hair that is resilient and retains its shape even when you apply a lot of pressure — what we call 'the snap & spring'.

It is robust, wear-resistant and resistant to the friction you get when working on rougher surfaces such as coarse canvas, wood or stone. And it is stiff and strong enough for impasto techniques — you can work with thicker paint without the brush becoming limp. This brush has been specially developed for flatter and more opaque graphic techniques in water-based paint systems, such as acrylic paint, poster paint and gouache. If desired, you can also use it for detailed work and clean lines in watercolour paint.

Smart detail: the end of the handle is cut at an angle for scratching techniques such as sgraffito, and the selective removal of paint, for example for corrections and accents.

Borciani e Bonazzi — tradition and innovation since 1951!

The founders of the Italian family business Borciani e Bonazzi — B♦B for short — are brother Arturo and sister Wilma Bonazzi. They started their business in 1951 in a small artisan workshop in the Emilia region of Italy. The name came about when Wilma's husband, the young Borciani, joined the company.

Today, their brushes are still made one by one by hand, combining traditional techniques — learned from local craftsmen — with top-quality materials, such as innovative, high-end synthetic fibres.
