DEKA Series " L" Batik Colour has been used and loved for many years for this ancient decorating technique. It is easy to use and once the colours has been fixed items are machine washable up to 30°C.
Batik refers to the process of creating patterns through dyeing, whereby parts of the fabric are prepared in such a way that they do not absorb any dye: either by applying wax or by tying. These DEKA Series " L" Batik Colours are suitable for fabrics made from unstarched natural fibres (excluding synthetics).
All colours can be intermixed and have great luminosity and lightfastness. For batik work (either wax technique or knotting) a 10 kg bag of DEKA Series " L" Batik Colour will colour approx. 125 g dry fabric weight, and for dyeing it will colour approx. 250 g. Dissolve the powder with 2 -5 litres of water. DEKA Series " L" Batik Colour is available in 10 g sachets or 500 g pots in a variety of bright colours.
