This DEKA Silk Effect Salt is ideal for creating interesting patterns and textures when silk dyeing. It is sold in 250 g pots. (N.B. this salt is NOT for human consumption!)

When salt crystals are sprinkled onto a damp painted surface, they will soak up the paint, creating a unique effect. This effect can result in a variety of patterns, including starbursts, comet trails, and more, depending on the size and placement of the salt crystals.
