Jacques HERBIN ESSENTIAL Writing Ink is available in 10 colours:
- 108 Gris de houle — a stormy grey, deep and intense, with subtle luminous nuances
- 109 Noir abyssal — a lush black, drying to the deep black of a tropical night
- 116 Blue austral — a bright, southern blue reminiscent of the turquoise waters of the South Seas
- 119 Bleu de minuit — a deep, dark blue reminiscent of a starry night
- 137 Vert Amazone — a vibrant, almost luminous green, inspired by the jungle on the banks of South America's mightiest river
- 141 Ambre de Baltique — a warm, amber-coloured yellow/orange with an inner glow
- 147 Terre d'ombre — an autumnal brown with reddish accents
- 157 Orange soleil — a bright, invigorating orange with a warm, saffron-coloured glow
