These Kirschen Flat Gouges Cut 8 are hand-forged tools designed for versatility. They are flat enough for smoothing and levelling yet curved enough for hollowing out.
The blades are hand-forged from high-quality special high carbon steel to a hardness of 61 Rockwell. They are ready-to-use with highly polished blades and octagonal hornbeam handles. "Cut 8" indicates a medium-depth curvature, making it an excellent all-rounder for both smoothing surfaces and levelling out backgrounds, but also for hollowing out recesses and carving distinct concaves without the outer corners digging into your wood.
Kirschen Flat Gouges Cut 8 are 25 cm long and have a 12 cm blade.
