These Kirschen Straight V Chisels Cut 45 are professional-grade, hand-forged woodcarving tools. The "Cut 45" represents a wide 100° V-parting angle, which is particularly excellent for soft to medium-hard wood and wide outlining.

The blades are forged by hand from high-carbon tool steel and polished to a mirror finish. They are hardened to ±61 HRC along the entire usable length of the blade for superb edge retention.

  • machine-ground to a standard 17° bevel angle, optimised right out of the box for soft to medium-hard woods.
  • fitted with a traditional octagonal hornbeam wood handle that resists rolling off your workbench.
  • blade length varies from 120 mm to 140 mm depending on the tool width.

TIP! Because they are made from pure high-carbon steel, the blades are susceptible to natural corrosion. They should be wiped down with a lightly oiled cloth (such as Ballistol Universal Oil) after each session or prior to long-term storage.
