The pencils are constructed using premium California cedar wood. This specific wood prevents warping and provides smooth, splinter-free sharpening. The core is filled with premium Hardtmuth graphite. It is mixed with select clays to deliver smooth, scratchless lines. The lead is glued along the entire length of the wood casing to maximise break resistance. The casing itself is finished with multiple layers of clear varnish.
