The KUM® Loose Painting Watercolour brush set contains 3 watercolour brushes: 2 French Aqua brushes sizes 4 and 8, and a round memory point brush, size 4. The combination of 2 wash brushes and a fine tip makes this set particularly suitable for loose motifs.
Loose watercolour is not about depicting motifs in detail, but rather about painting free shapes with a few, loose brushstrokes. Here the control can be consciously relinquished, in the end the watercolours run as they want anyway. It is a letting go of perfection and reality, towards abstraction and simplified representation. For loose painting, a brush is best to have a relatively large size and a fine tip, so that both thin and thick lines can be painted with the same brush. This allows you to work particularly quickly, which is very advantageous when painting freer shapes.
The KUM® French Aqua is the perfect brush for loose painting. The very thin synthetic brush hairs have different diameters and therefore store an extremely large amount of water and paint. Due to the tapered shape and elasticity, the brush is also suitable for small details.
The KUM® Memory Point is an absolute all-rounder, which is also wonderfully suitable for loose painting.
