Lascaux Hydro-Grund Primer is a solvent- and plasticiser-free extremely fine pure acrylic dispersion. It is excellent for stabilising highly porous or sanding surfaces like gypsum, plaster, mortar, concrete, paper and wood.
You can use the primer before applying acrylic or dispersion paints. Due to its exceptionally small particle size (0.06 µ), it deeply penetrates fragile structures to consolidate loose paint layers, tears, or cupping, particularly in oil paintings. This primer must be diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 4 ratio. It dries clear and flexible, remains completely lightfast, is non-yellowing, and is inherently age-resistant.
Lascaux Hydro-Grund Primer is available in 1 litre and 5 litre bottles.
