Schjerning Porcelain Colours are very finely ground, lead-free powdered paints with high colour brilliance and uniform shine. They can be mixed with oils and mediums (e.g. Schjerning Painting Medium, item code 63101).
These Schjerning Porcelain Paints meet the most stringent health regulations and are therefore suitable for painting crockery etc. They should be applied in thin layers and fired at 780° C - 820° C. For increased gloss, fire your item for 30 minutes at a constant temperature then apply a layer of Flux 1 (colour number 040) and re-fire. For increased colour strength apply several layers of colour but only fire the item once enough layers have been applied.
To use Schjerning Porcelain Paints drip the painting medium over the colour and mix to a homogeneous paste. Schjerning Wipe-Out Medium prevents the colour from drying out (item code 63107)
Tools and brushes used to apply Schjerning Porcelain Paints can be simply cleaned with water. Schjerning Porcelain Paints are available in a large variety of colours (and also the transparent Flux 1) in 3g or 6g pots.
