This Schmincke liquid EARTH are formulated based on natural pigments mined regionally in Germany. They are a fantastic liquid addition or alternative to traditional drawing materials, such as pencils or carré sticks.

liquid EARTH is watersoluble, so you can adjust the colours from very light to deep earth colours. It can also be easily combined with charcoal or chalk/sanguine/umber pencils, and is ideal for quick processing of large areas. Schmincke liquid EARTH contains high-quality gum arabic as a binder, like traditional artists’ watercolours (gouaches, watercolours, etc.) and has a gouache-like consistency. Various nuances, textures and layer thicknesses can be achieved by diluting with water.
