These SENNELIER Artists' Oil Pastel themed sets are presented in cardboard cases. The pastels are made from highly concentrated, high-grade, purest, mineral and organic pigments, an extremely pure synthetic binder and mineral wax.

These SENNELIER Artists' Oil Pastels are easy to apply thanks to their creamy consistency. The pigments are ground with a non-drying binder that does not oxidise and therefore does not alter the paint film or the painting surface. This base is then mixed with a pH-neutral wax. The balance of this mixture gives these oil pastels a unique smoothness and creamy texture that offers painters great artistic freedom. SENNELIER Artists' Oil Pastels measure 65 mm x 10 mm in diameter.

SENNELIER Artists' Oil Pastels are suitable for all types of grounds: paper, cardboard, canvas, wood, metal, glass, etc. All shades are fully light resistant.

TIPS! These oil pastels are best not used together with oil colours, possibly only as a final layer and provided the oil colour has dried through completely.

Oil pastels do not dry through, and should be fixed in 2 to 3 layers before applying a final varnish, if necessary.

If oil pastels are thinned with white spirit, a transparent colouring similar to watercolour is produced.
