Schmincke Öl-Bronze: wet bronze powder is perfect for shimmering metallic effects on oil paintings or other pre-primed surfaces e.g. metal, wood, plaster etc.
To use, make the wet bronze powder into a paste with the special binder 'Schmincke Bronze Medium', item code 20858.
Schmincke Öl-Bronze should be mixed 3 parts oil bronze to 2 parts binder and mixed with a palette knife. White spirit can be used to thin the mixture if necessary. Once dry, Schmincke Öl-Bronze can still be removed with white spirit or turpentine. For particularly absorbent surfaces, pre-treat them first with some diluted bronze medium. Schmincke Öl-Bronze is available in 50 ml jars in different tones.
