Schmincke | Primer 1 (512) — strongly absorbent, 500 ml bottle

This Schmincke Primer 1 (512) is a pure white, lightfast and age-resistant primer for oil and acrylic paint, with a strongly absorbent character. The elastic film dries matt and is resistant to turpentine oil and water.

The Schmincke Primer 1 (512) is characterised by the following properties:

  • can be diluted with water (10 to max. 30%)
  • extremely absorbent supports such as raw linen require pre-priming
  • semi-opaque
  • do not use below 8° C object temperature
  • contains pure acrylic dispersion

Schmincke Primer 1 (512) can be reduced in absorbency in a controlled manner with a pre-primer (impregnation) and coloured with acrylic paints. It is available in a 500 ml bottle or a 1 litre pot.
