Schmincke Universal Fixative 401 is a universally applicable fixative that is ideal both as an intermediate and final fixative. It is non-sticky, non-ageing and colourless, and dries quickly.

Shake Schmincke Universal Fixative 401 vigorously before use. Use at room temperature and spray from a distance of 30 - 40cm. This fixative is ideal for charcoal, pencil, pastel, watercolour, gouache, art prints, inkjet prints or photographs. If used as an intermediate fixative it can be overpainted. Schmincke Universal Fixative 401 is available in 150 ml or 400 ml aerosol cans.

Professional Quality - It never clogs, and provides even coverage. It's good to use on watercolour, as it contains UV filters. It's the best fixative - and I've tried quite a few.
