Vang Batikblocks are premium art paper pads designed specifically for paper batik and specialised mixed-media techniques. They contain soft, ultra thin handmade Japanese paper, 17 gsm. The pads are glued at the top edge.

The paper is soft and highly absorbent, yet strong enough to withstand liquid dyes and hot wax applications. These Vang Batikblocks are available in different sizes.

TIP! Traditional batik involves applying hot wax barriers to fabric, but these blocks allow you to do the same on paper. The 17 gsm Japanese paper absorbs watercolour, inks, and liquid dyes beautifully while holding sharp lines where wax or masking fluid is applied
