Welte Decorative Ceramic Paints are made from finely ground pigments.These paints are easy to dissolve with water. The colours can be used for both underglaze and majolica techniques.

In the case of underglaze, painting is done directly on the biscuit, while in the case of majolica, the decorative colour is applied to a white opaque glaze. In both cases, glaze and decorative colour are fired together. The colours can be used in the temperature range 950°C to 1250°C. However, since the colours are fired together with the glaze, a firing temperature of 1050°C is recommended. All colours offered are free of lead, barium and cadmium.

These Welte Decorative Ceramic Paints are very productive and can all be mixed with each other, so you can achieve a high number of colours by mixing.
