WINSOR & NEWTON™ Watercolour Ground transforms a wide variety of surfaces into suitable bases for watercolour painting. This specially developed primer creates an absorbent surface to which watercolours adhere and can be applied with precision.
This allows you to expand your creative possibilities beyond traditional watercolour paper and work flexibly on a variety of materials. Once dry, the surface appears even and supports typical watercolour effects such as glazes, gradients and fine details.
Application is straightforward: apply evenly, allow to dry completely, then paint as usual with watercolours. Depending on the application, the effect of the surface can be individually tailored.
